Among the many songs and melodies we hear at Christmas are Christmas Carols, traditionally sung by Christmas carollers. Le "fanfares de chasse" (fanfare di caccia) sono una forma musicale legata alla tradizione venatoria francese e utilizzata durante le battute di caccia, particolarmente popolare tra il XVII e il XIX secolo. Questi brani, originariamente eseguiti con corni da caccia (in particolare il cor de chasse, una versione del corno naturale), servivano sia come segnali funzionali per i cacciatori, sia per enfatizzare momenti specifici della battuta di caccia.

Learning to understand one’s instrument and to connect with those playing alongside is essential to creating an environment of respect and musical cooperation.
The book presents a selection of pedagogical melodies, traditional tunes, and classical works by great composers such as Händel, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, Telemann, Purcell, Schubert, Praetorius, Offenbach, Corrette, Mouret, Grieg, Arban, Schumann and Rimskij-Korsakov, offering students a wide musical landscape to explore. Each piece is chosen to support gradual learning and spark musical interest, developing technique and interpretation from the very early stages of study. This new edition will be dedicated exclusively to the low horn, with specific adaptations for this instrument. The repertoire will be enriched with arrangements and transcriptions designed to highlight the technical and tonal characteristics of the low horn, giving students the opportunity to work on the lower register of the instrument and to explore new sonorities and timbral nuances.
